Took the kayak out this morning for a few hours to test the new kayak anchor mount that I installed last night. It worked great but with all the wind it was hard to get the anchor to settle into floor bed of the lake. I have several more modification to make before its completely the way I want it set up.
I did manage to catch a few nice bluegill but turned them loose as I was more concerned with just getting out on the water with my yak.
Finally got my yak out for the first time today. Took it over to my buddy’s Johns pond to try it out. Was able to stand up and fish pretty easy on it. Luckily the wife had left when I tipped it and fell in…. Didn’t lose my hat, pole or my glasses this time.

I have a 2015 Wilderness Systems Ride 115 up for sale. Bought it brand new this spring for around $1000. Would make a great Christmas present!! Only been on the water 3-4 times and in a private pond. Still looks brand new minus a couple faint scratches on the bottom from pulling it down to the water. I Also have a paddle I’ll throw in for free. 2000 blue fin bonita center console 20 foot. Has a powerful 150 black maxx mercury motor. Its the 2.5 fuel injected efi. It run great. Its all in great shape. Has a 75 horse trolling motor with a foot control pedal. It has 2 25 gallon gas tanks with one mounted on each side for nice even weight. It runs between 40 and 45 depending on the weight in the boat. Trailer is a caulken trailer in great shape. There is a 30 gallon live well and rod holders and tons of storage. This boat is great for the small lakes yet big enough to handle lake Erie. Asking $5500…. Sold
