Was finally able to get up to the river and do some cat-fishing up at the Maumee River. I new it was going to be a good day when my my son caught his first Fish Ohio of the year on his very first cast. We were slamming them up until about 1:30 this afternoon and then the bite just shut down. In all we caught 28 catfish and 7 of those were Fish Ohio. All fish were released as we was practicing catch and release today.

Not the greatest day ever but anytime you can get out and nab your first Fish Ohio of the year it’s still a pretty good day. Caught one bluegill just over 9 inches long and another just under of 9 inches long.
